GoogleがTwitterを買うかも？
前からGoogleはTwitterを買収するんじゃないかと思っていたのですが、やはり交渉をはじめてるみたいですね。

買えるようならこのタイミングで買ってしまったほうがよさそうです。なぜならいくつかある検索のカテゴリのうちの1つを他に持ってかれてしまうからです。
Googleは検索のカテゴリ全部で勝とうとしても難しいと思うので、どこが一番インパクトあるのかを見極めて、早めに対処しないといけない状況ですね。
たぶん以下のようなカテゴリがあります。
リアルタイム検索 このままだと Twitter が中心となる分野？
バーティカル検索 コンテンツ持ってるのでYahoo!のほうが強そうだけど、バーティカルの機能はあくまで補助的なものなので、シェアをひっくり返すほどのインパクトにはなりえない
Q&A Yahoo! や wiki answersなどが先行。 Googleは一回作ってつぶした。Mahaloも先日はじめた
リアルタイム人力検索 ChaChaが該当。 Twitterも参入できそう
検索結果が人力で書かれている検索 Google searchwiki の発表が原因かわからないけど先日 wikia search が閉鎖。Maholoとか結構強いプレイヤーがまだ複数残っている。
セマンティック検索 microsoft が powerset買収したりしてる。 他にはhakiaとか。Googleは自前で開発するよりも技術的にたしかなものが出てくるまで待つのが正解だと思う
